5 tips on how to relax in front of the camera for your boudoir session
Relaxing for Your Boudoir Session
Are you nervous about your boudoir session? Here are some tips to help you relax during your shoot:
1. Play Music – Bring your favorite music to play during your session. This will help you to calm down and feel comfortable.
2. Deep Breathing – Practice deep breathing. This is a proven relaxation method. Breathe in deeply through your nose and exhale through your nose. We are here to help you relax and will notice if you are tensing up and need to breathe…
3. Take a Break – If you’re feeling overwhelmed, we can take a break from shooting and talk and relax before resuming the session.
4. Drink Water – Being hydrated will help the body to feel less bloated, will help lower blood pressure, and help you regulate your body temperature so you can feel your best! We recommend drinking extra water in the days leading up to your shoot, too.
5. Laugh It Off – If you’re feeling silly in front of the camera, laugh at yourself. Laughter is a great relaxation technique. It will help you loosen up and makes for great candid shots!
Nerves are a normal part of doing something outside of your comfort zone. It’s ok to be a little nervous. Actually, I was a lot nervous for my own shoot the first time. But just think of how proud of yourself you will feel after you have had your own boudoir shoot! Trust me, it is worth it.
